Mystic Meadows Daylily Farm is a State Inspected Daylily Nursery
located in Western NY, 30 minutes
SE of Buffalo, NY. The gardens are 10
minutes from East Aurora, NY, which is a quaint town and home of the
Roycroft Arts & Crafts Movement.
Pam's love of gardening, and green thumbs, were inherited
from her Mother and Grandmother. She grows,
sells, and hybridizes
daylilies that thrive in a Northern climate. We're sure you've heard the
stories of our
"Buffalo Winters" ... well, they're pretty much true.
Though her daylilies usually survive our winters under a foot
or so of
white mulch. Pam is an active member, and past officer, of BADS
(Buffalo Area Daylily Society) and
a member of the Buffalo & Erie County
Botanical Gardens.
She currently has just over 400 named cultivars and a
couple hundred seedlings that she is evaluating. Her
favorite
daylily form is the Unusual Form (UF), daylilies that twist and curl, and
have movement. She has
collected quite a few Spiders and UF's,
and is always looking for new ones.
The gardens are open mostly by appointment. Pam has a
full time career as a Mortgage Banker. So she usually
hangs the "Open"
shingle out for the gardens on nights and weekends. But please call in advance
so she can
make sure she'll be home, as she likes to visit other
gardens and participate in Buffalo gardening functions,
so she's not
always at the farm.
One of Pam's Registrations - Dad's Pyrotechnic's
Pam's small farm is just under 20 acres. About 5 acres are
cleared and 15 are wooded. She has 3
adorable miniature donkeys that just
love visitors, especially when that visitor has a carrot or apple to share.
The front pasture is the daylily growing/sales area, and the "gardens" are
behind the house. Pam grows most
every type of plant that likes the climate
in Zone 5, and keeps adding every year. There's a 3/4 acre pond behind
the house also, with iris growing at it's edges and water lilies floating on
it's surface. If you look close enough you
just might see a Large Mouthed
Bass, Bluegil, or Gold Fish glide by.
So come and visit, wander through the daylilies, say Hi to the
donkeys, paddle in the pond,
walk in the woods ... and relax in Pam's
country paradise!

We garden on 21 aces of land in the beautiful Boston Hills of western NY. Very extensive gardens contain a large selection of perenials and annuals. Day- lilies are the main focus, with 700 registered varieties and thousands of our own seedlings. Large flowering, minatures, doubles and spiders are well represented. Add a pond full of fish and waterlilies, a barn with minature goats, hayfields and woods, and that completes the picture. We were featured in the 2001 Eureka as a Region 4 tour garden.
Our hybridizing program has come a long way and large flowers with looping ruffles and picotee edges, together with spiders of shimmering grace are a joy to all of us. Hardiness and vigor are stressed.
Choice seedlings and divisions of registered varities are offered for sale, very reasonably priced. The gardens are open to the public three Saturdays in July, otherwise by appointment. Please call (716) 648 0094 for an appointment and directions. Kristina Weitz 6047 Seufert Rd. Orchard Park, NY. 14127.
